My Contemporary Status Symbols

In the Internet era the separation between labour and spare time (leisure) has become subtle as never before.
Chat statuses are one of the most indicative representation of this con-temporary condition: available, busy, away or offline.
“Leisure times” is a time-based portrait of me, myself and the internet from the point of view of my temporary chat status symbols from 2012 to 2013.
During that period, once per hour, everyday, a script posted archived and over-exhibited my intimate Google Talk chat status through the www.temporarystatussymbols.com (now redirected to wwworks.guidosegni.com/leisure-times) website.
What remains now is an abstract and coloured texture from which users can date back any moments of my daily life.
Then, in the end I decided to print from out the internet to a wallpaper roll.
